Who
is John G. Hall?
John G.
Hall has spent many years in the study of Bible Prophecy.
Here's what Cordas C. Burnett, past president of Bethany Bible
College in Santa Cruz, California, says:
"Study
to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
II Timothy 2:15
If ever
there was a man who has faithfully endeavored to fulfill this
exhortation of divine truth it is the Reverend John G. Hall
- author, teacher, minister, and Bible scholar par excellence.
Few men have the capacity to so adequately fulfill the admonition
"rightly divide" as he has done, both in his written
and verbal exposition of the Holy Scripture.
It has
been my privilege to share the pulpit with him in a number
of camp meetings where he has ably and positively set forth
his convictions on great Biblical truths encompassing such
themes as the inspiration of the Word, the plan of redemption,
the virgin birth of Christ, God's plan for the ages, and a
pre-millenial, pre-tribulation rapture eschatology. He has
been challenged by theologians, scholars, and students but
has invariably defended his thesis in a manner that has made
the Scriptures living and real.
His presentation
of God's Eternal Program as contained in his book, while appearing
as the guest lecturer under the Staley Distinguished Scholar
Lecture Series at Bethany Bible College, brought an increasing
attendance session after session in spite of the pressures
of studies and the concomitant competition with other facets
of college life. Faculty and students alike were challenged
and inspired - if not awed - by his grasp and presentation
of the Word of God. He left no doubt in anyone's mind as to
where he stood on the great issues of the Scripture nor of
their application to daily life.
Every
minister, and indeed every student, shoud have a copy of this
book in his library. In brief succinct chapters, Mr. Hall
outlines God's dealing with His creation from before the dawn
of time, portraying man's struggles from the Garden of Eden,
through succeeding ages and ultimately climaxes in the golden
era of a New Heaven and New Earth; leaving no doubt as to
the sovereignty of God and the ultimate destinations of man.
In addition to his study on dispensations so adequately presented,
Mr. Hall has added chapters on evolution, eternal security,
tithing, and other areas of concern to the student of God's
Word.
May the
Holy Spirit make the message of this book an inspiration to
all who would understand the great truths of God's written
and Eternal Word.
